We are masters of the Paris Metro. It is ALWAYS crowded...very, very crowded. French people have no bubble. Then there's the occasional crazy guy who's rapping in French, attempting to break dance, and smells as if he's not bathed in weeks. Not a good combination for a crowded metro. But more metro=less walking=less blisters=good.

French bread is much better in France than from Safeway. But I guess that was a given.

Yesterday we say the Basilica de Sacre Couer, Jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Dame, the Moulin Rouge, and Musee d'Orsay. Moulin Rouge was definitely nothing like the movie, and the Impressionist floor of Musee d'Orsay was so crowded that I think had a better chance of seeing Van Gogh's self portrait in an art book than behind the millions of tourists trying to catch a glimpse.
